Open Spaces Group - Embracing the 3rd 3rd of Life (NUSHU Group)

  • 6 consecutive Tuesdays from 3:00pm-4:15pm CT from May 14 through June 18 (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

If you’re in the third third of your life (ages 50+), I invite you to join me for this enriching 6-week group.

This sharing, exploring, listening and connecting circle gives you the opportunity and gift to reflect on what’s most present for you. We’ll explore a variety of themes (past themes have included legacy, values, change, blooming, creativity, friendship and support). You’ll leave each session feeling grounded, connected and full of insight about yourself and others.

Open Spaces Group is a facilitated circle of women who come together to reflect on prompts in a space of compassion and non-judgement. The modality is based on the NUSHU Group model. The Open Spaces Group is not about fixing and advice giving. It’s a time for reconnecting with yourself, as well as connecting with others. Guidelines set the expectations for how we each show up in Group. They emphasize confidentiality, non-judgement and speaking your own truth. The prompts and reflections tap into the idea that we each hold the wisdom we are seeking inside of us.

We gather via zoom, and following a check in and opening the facilitator offers a series of prompts with time for reflection and journaling. Group members may then each share their reflections - there is always an option to pass or come back. There is no cross talk or conversation. Each person gets the chance to be fully seen and heard.

Space is limited to 8 participants.

When: 6 consecutive Tuesdays starting May 14 through June 18 from 3:00pm - 4:15pm CT

Where: Zoom

Cost: $125 for the entire series

NUSHU Group - Embracing the Third Third of Your Life

Six Tuesdays, June 6 - July 18 (with a pause on July 4); 3:00pm - 4:15pm CDT (4:00pm-5:16pm EDT)

If you’re in the third third of your life (mid-50s and beyond), I invite you to join me for this 6-week sharing, listening and connecting NUSHU Group.

This is a sharing, listening and connecting circle where you give yourself time to reflect on what’s most present for you. We’ll explore a variety of themes (past themes have included legacy, values, change, blooming, creativity and support). You’ll leave each session feeling grounded, connected and full of insight about yourself and others.

Each session follows the structure of NUSHU Group. NUSHU Group is a facilitated women’s group who come together to reflect on prompts in a space of compassion and non-judgment. It’s a time for reconnecting with yourself, as well as connecting with others. The prompts tap into the idea that we each hold inside the wisdom we are looking for.

Participants share their journal reflections or have the option to pass or come back. There is no cross talk or conversation, which may feel strange at first. But it soon feels freeing as you realize you are listening deeply without trying to come up with a response or fix anything. You get to just focus on the moment.

Each journal reflection time is between 1 and 5 minutes, and in a 75 minute session, there is usually a cycle of 3 to 4 prompts.

When: Six Tuesdays, June 6 - July 18 (with a pause on the July 4); 3:00pm - 4:15pm CDT (4:00pm-5:16pm EDT)
